NEW DYNOGRIP™ JAW OPTIONS NOW AVAILABLE
WITH MATE PRECISION TECHNOLOGIES
Leader Chuck are pleased to announce several new additions to the DynoGrip™ jaw portfolio. Each of the new jaw options addresses a specific customer challenge and expands the range of applications where Mate workholding can be successfully deployed.
DynoGrip™ 96 Series 200mm Wide Hard Jaws
DynoGrip™ XtraGripTM Jaw Coating
DynoGrip™ Jaws with Custom Tooth Profiles
DynoGrip™ 96 Series 200mm Wide Hard Jaws
The new 200mm-wide hard jaws are compatible with all 125mm wide 96 Series DynoGrip™ self-centring vices. These jaws extend beyond the width of the vice body and are specifically designed for applications involving workpieces exceeding 125mm in width. By extending the jaw width and increasing surface contact area and support across the workpiece, the wider jaws help minimise vibration and harmonics during machining. This results in improved surface finish, greater process control, and increased confidence when machining larger parts. These jaws are ideal for wide plate-style parts, large prismatic parts, and any application where additional support can improve machining performance. Please reference part number M90JW-200STL for individual jaws and M90JP-200STL for jaw pairs when quoting and ordering.
DynoGrip™ XtraGripTM Jaw Coating
The new Mate XtraGrip™ jaw coating provides increased holding force without relying on the jaw teeth to grip the workpiece. XtraGrip is a textured surface treatment that can be applied to all sizes of DynoGrip hard jaws, machinable hard jaws, and machinable soft steel jaws. The coating increases friction between the jaw and the workpiece, helping to resist part movement while avoiding the marking or marring that can occur with the standard jaw teeth. This makes XtraGrip particularly valuable when machining finished surfaces, thin-walled components, delicate materials, or complex part geometries where teeth are not a viable option.
DynoGrip™ Jaws with Custom Tooth Profiles
DynoGrip machinable hard jaws are now available with custom tooth profiles, including those compatible with many commonly used pre-indenting systems. This option allows customers to maintain their existing workholding methodology while benefitting from the accuracy, repeatability, and clamping force of the DynoGrip self-centring vices. For many customers, the ability to match an existing tooth profile removes a significant barrier to adopting a new workholding system by preserving established processes and minimising disruption on the shop floor. These jaws are particularly valuable for customers seeking to standardise DynoGrip vies while maintaining familiar workpiece preparation methods. To quote or order custom tooth profiles, provide the name of the current jaw system being used or provide a tooth pattern, and Mate will provide the compatible product.
Custom DynoGrip™ Jaws with Black Diamond™ Surface Treatment
Mate can now apply the Black Diamond™ surface treatment to modified DynoGrip hard jaws and machinable hard jaws. Previously, custom modifications left exposed surfaces untreated after machining. With this enhancement, modified surfaces can receive the same protective treatment found on the rest of the jaw. The Black Diamond surface treatment improves surface hardness, enhances wear resistance, and increases corrosion resistance. When quoting or ordering custom jaws, customers can request the Black Diamond surface treatment on the modified surfaces. Please note that the coating process may increase lead times beyond the standard 10-day lead time for custom jaws.
